3 DAY RULES & REGULATION

THE HYDERABAD CRICKET ASSOCIATION
Visaka Cricket Ground, Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad

A - DIVISION 3-DAYS LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP 2OO8-09 PLAYING CONDITIONS

GENERAL - Laws of Cricket (2003 2nd Edition) and domestic Playing Conditions shall be followed except as modified hereunder :

1) All the Matches shall be of 3-days duration for six hours on each day

2) HOURS OF PLAY would normally be as follows :

First Session - 9.30 AM to 12.00 NOON
Lunch - 12.00 NOON to 1.00 PM
Second Session - 1.00 PM to 3.00 PM
Tea Break - 3.00 PM to 3.20 PM
Last Session - 3.20 PM to 4.50 PM

3) The Umpires in consultation with the Captains may agree to call off the play on the third day at any time.

MINIMUM OVERS IN A DAY

4) On days other than the last day, play shall continue on each day until the completion of a minimum target of 90 overs ( or a minimum of l5 overs per hour) or the completion of the schedule or rescheduled cessation time, whichever is the later, but provided the play shall not continue for more than 30 minutes beyond the scheduled or rescheduledclose of play time (permitted overtime)

5) However, on the first and second day, if an innings ends within the scheduled hours of
play, play will continue till the scheduled/rescheduled close of play and no recalculation
of overs need be made.

ADDITIONAL HOUR

6) Subject to whether and light, in the event of play being suspended for any reason other than normal intervals, the playing time on that day shall be extended by the amount of time lost upto a maximum of one hour. In these circumstances, the minimum number of overs to be bowled shall be in accordance with the provisions of one over for each full 4 minutes of the time remaining and the cessation time will be rescheduled accordingly. This will be applicable on all the days.

7) If play has been suspended for 30 minutes or more prior to the commencement of the scheduled tea interval, the tea interval shall be delayed for half of an hour.

PENALTIES :

8) penalty for slow over Rate - Each team shall maintain an over rate of 15 overs per hour through out the match. The number of overs bowled short shall be calculated at theend of each innings (full 4 minutes per over ) for applying the clause.

9) The penalty shall be twice the run rate multiplied by the number of overs bowled short, which shall be added to the score of the batting side. 2 minutes for wicket fallen and 5 minute for Drinks break shall be taken out of the actual time taken.

10) only the Team captain is entitled to speak to the umpires.

11) No protest will be entertained against Umpiring decision (Umpire's decision is final)

RESPONSIBILITIES OF CAPTAINS :

l2) The captains are responsible at all times for ensuring that the play is conducted within the spirit of the game as well as within the laws. The spirit of the game involves with respect to - your Opponents; Your Own Captain & Team and the role of the Umpires.
